Holiday and special events are an event type written into our standard agreement, and so is background music. Many holiday parties run in that order: music low enough to talk over through dinner, the speeches and the toast on the microphone, then the floor opens. Holiday parties happen all year, not only in December. We DJ office parties, staff nights and family celebrations for:

A Microphone for Every Speech
Every booking includes one microphone, wired or wireless, a powered PA system sized to the room, standard lighting, and a DJ handling basic event coordination through the night. A head table with several speakers? Add an Extra Microphone at $35 each, so nobody passes one mic down the table. When the night needs a host, Premium Event Production ($325) adds enhanced sound, premium lighting, MC service and early setup: a DJ on the mic, so the person who planned the party gets to enjoy it.
Rooms We Have Played
Holiday parties land in restaurants, hotels and halls. Escarpment Sound Solution has played the Old Stone Inn, the Americana, the Holiday Inn and Route 55 in Niagara Falls, and Johnny Rocco's and Ship Happens in St. Catharines.
Groups we have worked with include the Ontario Ministry of Transportation (MTO), the Niagara 2022 Canada Summer Games, the YWCA Niagara Region, the YMCA of Niagara and Niagara College.
How Booking Works
Call, email, or use the form. We confirm the date, quote it, and send an e-contract. A 50% deposit holds your date. The final invoice comes on the day of the party, the balance is due within five business days, and there is no HST. Five DJs on one crew means your date gets covered.
Packages and Add-Ons for Holiday Parties
- Minimum Package, $175: up to about 50 guests, 2 hour minimum, then $65 per hour
- Standard Package, $275: up to about 120 guests, 3 hour minimum, then $85 per hour
- Premium Package, $500: up to about 200 guests, 4 hour minimum, then $110 per hour
- Extra-Large Package, from $1000: 200+ guests, full team production, custom hours quoted at booking
- Premium Event Production, $325
- Extra Microphone, $35 each
Travel within 30 km of Welland is included. A 50% deposit secures your date. No HST. See every package and add-on.

Holiday Party DJ Questions
Can you play quiet music through dinner, then get people dancing?
Yes. Background music is one of the event types on our agreement. We keep it low through dinner and the speeches, then bring the floor up when you give the nod.
Do you bring a microphone for the speeches?
Yes. Every booking includes one microphone, wired or wireless. Extra microphones are $35 each, and with Premium Event Production ($325) a DJ can MC the night.
What if the party runs late?
Overtime is billed at your package's hourly rate: $65/hr on Minimum, $85/hr on Standard, $110/hr on Premium. Overtime decided on the day adds a $20 surcharge on top, so pre-book the hours you think you will need.
What if our party date changes?
One reschedule is allowed with 7 or more days' notice, subject to availability. Cancel 7 or more days before and the deposit is refunded in full. Inside 7 days the deposit is non-refundable, and inside 24 hours the full contracted amount is due.
Do you travel to our venue?
The first 30 km from Welland is included, which covers St. Catharines and most of Niagara Falls. Beyond that, travel is $0.85 per km one way, and events past 75 km may carry a higher minimum booking. It is all on the quote before you sign.
